The River
RIVER CORRIDOR
The ranch's "Lower River Corridor" includes nearly 150 acres hundred acres of green riparian grasslands as well as a cottonwood forest that towers over the southern bank of the Rio Grande River. In addition to a bounty of wildlife and flora, the Lower Corridor is home to 4000 feet of private water along the Rio Grande. Our private, pristine fishery was designated "Gold Medal" by the Colorado Wildlife Commission (CWC), one of only a handful of river sections and lakes in the state to receive this honor.

It's important to remember the Scott Ranch is a working ranch with a intermittently dangerous, high-flow river. Due to safety concerns for our guests, access to the lower river corridor -- anything beyond the house, the RV sites or the barns -- is video monitored and strictly restricted to guests with paid reservations.

No guest can be in the lower section of the ranch without both a paid reservation and a signed waiver (individually signed prior to arrival). If you would like some additional information like how to arrange for activities on and off the ranch -- ie, float trips, river side camping, skiing, hiking and mountain biking -- please let us know. We can help arrange.

As you know, the house, the RV sites and access to the river corridor are booked separately on our web page. We highly recommend you consider renting the entire ranch for you and your guests. Please reach out for further information. Below are some links to help guide you.
